Sales Admin
Role Overview:
Yellow Dog Software is looking for a service-minded individual who will provide assistance to our sales and marketing team. This work includes answering and directing incoming sales calls, responding to client inquiries, consulting with existing clients for software add-ons, generating, sharing, and explaining quotes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone without a lot of sales experience to get their foot in the door and learn.
This is an in-office position based in Norfolk, VA and reporting to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
Handling sales inquiries from existing customers
Learning our products to provide intelligent needs assessments with clients
Preparing accurate proposals and contracts – setting achievable expectations
Soliciting clients for references
Answering and responding to existing client sales inquiries via both phone and email
Being helpful to our clients – consultative sales is what we do
Providing clear, accurate communication with a positive attitude
Being honest & trustworthy, inside and outside the company
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Consultative mindset – identify solutions that will work for the client
Be smart, a fast learner, and a problem solver
Be a quick thinker with a positive, can-do attitude
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, collaborative team environment
Efficient with Windows Operating System
Preferred Experience:
Hospitality or service experience - food & beverage and/or retail
Technical ability – comfort with a wide range of Microsoft products, Zoho CRM
Some experience with inventory… physicals, ordering, receiving, etc.
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Compensation and Benefits:
The position offers a base salary plus commission following an onboarding period.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50-60K OTE in year 1
