QA Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA Specialist to join our Product team, well-versed in testing software products, especially mobile applications, APIs, integrations, web apps, and end to end performance testing.

As a member of the Product team, you will collaborate with the Development team to support release planning, estimation, delivery of products, product documentation, and test plan development.

This position is remote, but must be located in the US, (Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, or Florida ONLY). If you are in the Norfolk, VA area, you can work in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, estimate, execute and oversee testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables

  • Maintain a customer first mindset and provide feedback on new development to software engineers from a customer perspective—Speak up on behalf of the customer

  • Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution

  • Manage documentation of new features and enhancements to existing products

  • Review and analyze business requirements, system specifications, and user stories to plan, create, and execute test plans

  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs

  • Execute functional, performance, application, and regression tests

  • Work closely with other product team and development team members to deliver exceptional products

  • Adhere to the software development life cycle, testing standards, and best practices

  • Communicate with the larger organization and assist our training and success teams on delivery, release activities, new features, and improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist, manual software tester, or similar role

  • Experience in iOS, Android, REST API, SQL, and web app testing

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing manual test plans and risk assessments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Postman, Test Flight, and other software testing tools

  • Experience with Microsoft suite: Teams, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Experience with Google suite, especially Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Notion, Github, Notepad++

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
